While you can always be there for him in spirit, you don't always have to be there for him in person. If a man is having problems and wants to go out with his friends to get away then let him do it. Tell him that you understand and that you're there for him and then let him go. Don't you like to be with your girlfriends sometimes? It doesn't mean that you don't want to be with your man, you might just need to see some other females. Your partner probably feels the same way about his male friends.

Just by giving him space, letting him do his own thing, and not pressuring him to talk when he doesn't want to will create a good atmosphere in your relationship.
